Creating meaningful community solutions requires more than just investing money, programs, or policies. Only when people come together in a community to invest their time and talents will we achieve real, lasting change.
Requirements
- All participants must be at least 16 years old.
- When volunteering, please refrain from wearing the following items of clothing. open toes shoes shirts with profanities or other vulgar messages low cut tops
- Tattoos that could be deemed offensive, including but not limited to racial slurs and symbols should not be visible.
- Racial harassment is a form of race discrimination prohibited by this policy and the law. It includes racial jokes or remarks, insults relating to race, and race-related words or actions that interfere with a person’s work performances or create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.
- In your role as a volunteer, you will be interacting with others and representing UrbnHub. Comments or conduct that might be perceived as offensive are to be strictly avoided. It is not practical to list all the specific types of conduct that might violate this policy or the law. Examples of conduct that might constitute sexual harassment include, but are not limited to, repeated offensive or unwelcome sexual flirtations, advances, or propositions; continual or repeated verbal abuse of a sexual nature or graphic verbal commentaries about an individual’s body; sexually degrading words used to describe an individual; or the display in the workplace of sexually suggestive objects or pictures.
